Writer/Director/Actor Chris Rock’s Top Five is a hilarious
film that will appeal to open-minded adults.
The reason is that the main characters, played by Chris
Rock and Rosario Dawson are more honest and open with each other than most
couples are on-screen or in real life.
While this might be shocking to some, it is as refreshing
as the laughs provided by this story of a comedian, who has lost his desire to
be funny and wants to do only serious work.
I suppose the message here is that a tiger can’t change
its stripes, but whether or not you believe that, just let it go and enjoy the
fun, not just with Chris, but with the several cameo appearances that add to
the merriment.
I give Top Five a 4 out of 5.
