Co-Directors Anthony and
Joe Russo, together with Writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, have
created a truly spectacular blockbuster action film with Avengers: Infinity War.
Most all of the Marvel
action heroes find themselves in a pitched battle with Thanos, a Trumpian
villain, who wants to take over the entire universe.
The scope of the film and
the interweaving of the characters is masterfully done. There’s humor, copious
amounts of action and even tender romance.
Something for everyone.
It’s also a lot of fun,
especially if you see it with a large audience that cheers when favorite
actions heroes appear for the first time or attempt to come to the rescue.
However, if you think the
mighty Marvel core is invincible, you may be in for a surprise, as I was.
The effects, choreography
of events and editing by Jeffrey Ford and Matthew Schmidt are all first
rate. Grab your popcorn and enjoy.
I give Avengers:
Infinity War a 4.5 out of 5.
