Jumanji

Director Jake Kasdan’s Jumanji is outstanding family entertainment.
Though too many Writers often ruins a movie, Jumanji’s team of Chris McKenna, Erik Sommers, Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner have delivered a story that obliterates memory of the original with a clever turn in which the teens that begin the film (Alex Woolf, Ser’Darius Blain, Madison Iseman, Morgan Turner), become adults (Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Karen Gillan), who are the characters in the Jumanji game.

This adds a lot of funny bits as one of the teen girls (Madison Iseman) becomes a man (Jack Black).

There’s not a scene in the film that does not work or drags.  It’s all pure fun and works no matter what your age.

I give Jumanji a 4.6 out of 5.
