Rogue One: A Starwars Story

Director Gareth Edwards Rogue One; A Starwars Story is billed as a stand-alone story, but it’s actually a prequel to the first Starwars film.
That being said, it is an action-packed adventure that is sure to please Starwars fans, especially those who know all the characters/factions and can decipher who’s who during the first half hour...an item I don’t think Writers Tony Gilroy and John Knoll paid enough attention to.

On the other hand, war is chaotic and this film certainly proves that.

The action centers around Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones), those father (mads Mikkelsen) may or may not be working for the Empire in building a death star weapon that can destroy a planet.  Trying to find the vulnerability of the death star is the crux of the movie.

The effects are amazing even though the victims are basically bloodless.

Jones makes an admirable heroine.  She has been criticized for being too dire, but, given what she is up against, I defy anyone to go through it with smiles.

I give Rogue One; A Starwars Story a 4 out of 5.
