Green Room

Writer/Director Jeremy Saulnier’s Green Room is a horrid, not well-told, little story about not-too-bright members of a bad punk rock band, who, mistakenly, take a gig at a backwoods Trump sympathizer-type hangout and end up in a blood bath where three-quarters of the group are killed.

While Cinematographer Sean Porter captures the white trash atmosphere for which I assume Saulnier was looking and Imogen Poots shows up well into the story to add a somewhat engaging character the audience can actually care about, there’s not much here to stop the viewers from hoping everyone will die sooner, so they can leave the theater.

I, generously, give Green Room a 2.4 out of 5 for Imogen and the crew.

Hopefully, Director Saulnier will come up with something more worthwhile in the future.
