Co-Directors Kyle Balda’s and Pierre Coffin’s Despicable
Me 3 will delight fans of this wonderful franchise. However, it’s not quite as good as its predecessor.
The reason is that there is not enough screen time for
the Minions. The Creative Team does not
realize the audience is more interested in the Minions and Gru’s 3 children
than Gru and his twin brother Dru…and, certainly, more than Gru’s nemesis
Balthasar Bratt.
When the Minions and the Kids are present, the screen
comes alive. I hope this gets clear for,
what I hope would be, Despicable Me 4.
As for this outing, Despicable Me 3 gets a 4.2 out of 5.
