Fede Alvarez’ The Girl in the Spider’s Web is
a tough thriller on a bleak Swedish landscape.
Lisbeth Salander (Claire Foy), the super hacker of The
Girl With the Dragon Tattoo thrillers is trying to keep her sister
(Sylvia Hoeks) from getting codes that would allow the holder to trigger
nuclear warheads from anywhere in the world.
The action is super-charged and the action keeps building
with interesting force thanks to a fast-paced script by Alvarez, Jay Basu and Steven
Knight.
If you like thrillers, you’ll enjoy The Girl in the Spider’s Web. I give it a 4.3 out of 5.
