Writer/Producer/Director Simon Kinberg’s Dark
Phoenix is, as its title indicates, a dark story and, therefore, might
not be as much fun for some X-Men fans.
Nevertheless, I found it interesting.
Jean Grey (Sophie Turner) begins to develop super powers
that put, not only her fellow X-Men, but the world in peril. And, even she
realizes she has to be stopped.
As with the latest Avenger saga, this film marks a stark
change to the X-Men franchise.
I don’t want to give away any more of the story beyond, “Be
prepared.”
I give Dark Phoenix a 3.7 out of 5.
