Despite his lackluster direction, F. Gary Gray’s Men
in Black: International is a fun romp thanks to Tessa Thompson’s (Agent
M) energy and Kumail Nanjiani’s character Pawney’s voice.
As a child, Agent M survived the clandestine alien defense agency’s
amnesia device and, after 20 years, tracks them to hidden headquarters and
becomes a provisionary agent, partnered with Agent H (Chris Hemsworth) to
investigate problems in the London Division.
There, the action begins.
Though Hemsworth seems like he is sleepwalking and Liam
Neeson looks like he was taken off a sickbed to perform, the variety of alien
creatures and the introduction of the nefarious villainess Riza (Rebecca
Ferguson) are enough tokeep the interest for Men in Black fans.
I give Men in Black: International a 3.4
out of 5.
