Based on a true story, Writer/Producer/Director Jon Avnet’s 3
Christs is a poignant drama in which a psychiatrist (Richard Gere)
breaks the norm by bringing together three mental patients (Peter Dinklage,
Walter Goggins and Bradley Whitford), each of whom believes he is Jesus Christ.
This is all being done at a not too distant time, when
electric shock treatment was a “normal” means of dealing with psychiatric patients.
Though the action is slow, the actors are all excellent and
the story is important.
I give 3 Christs a 3.7 out of 5.
