Thurber’s Skyscraper is, in Hollywood terms, Die Hard meets ‘74s The
Towering Inferno with a hero (Dwayne Johnson) on steroids.
If you are willing to suspend your
disbelief, it’s tongue-in-cheek enjoyable, seeing Dwayne doing truly
unbelievable feats of heroism.
But, it’s really a surprisingly good
performance by Neve Campbell that holds the film together.
If you’re into chuckles and popcorn,
you’ll have a good time.
I give Skyscraper a 3 out of 5.
